Time flies.

Where does it go? Ticking away so fast you barely have time to breathe. After thinking about this, I decided now is the perfect time to reflect on how the past 9 1/2 months have gone, and honestly this has been one of the best years of my life :) I think it must be something about turning 30 that made the adult light clikc on. Everything just seemed to fall in place, but in the most unimaginable order.

For starters, I finally went back to school. This is something that I have wanted to do for a long time. I went to college for one year in 1997-1998. I was at a point in my life where I didnt really know what the hell I wanted, other than my independance, and I made some good choice, and bad, like most people my age. One of the bad was quitting school, but since I wasnt seriose about it, and couldnt see how important it was at that time, I quit. At least the damage was minimal, lol, and I corrected that last semester. I was able to salvage about 7 credits from my short run at Pima Community College, and started over. I took 1 morning class 3 times a week prior to work, and two evening classes 4 days a week after work, and wound up with 9 more credits and a 4.0 GPA, woohoo! Now I am running with 4 classes, full time, and still juggleing around my work schedule, but it's going good, and my grades are still great. I think my college career will be a little longer than most 18 year old who dont have to be a mom, full time worker and go to school full time, but I will make it happen.

This last year has brought music to the family. I was fortunate enough to spend a great weekend with my awesome sister in law with the company of U2 and the Black Eye Peas :) I had not seen D in over 3 years, so this was long over due, and there wasnt a better way to celebrate! I also have Taylor Swift to look forward to this month. This is going to be very special for me because I am taking my two little boys to their first concert. I am honored to the be one who can do this (the hub denied because he doesnt like country) but it will a first for them and I am really excited to have that experience with them.

Travel! I have had yet another year with some great trips under my belt. This started just shy of being 30, but who cares Im counting it. I went to Turks and Caicos last April. Amazing is all I can say. Then February turned out to be nothing but travel for my family. My love and I flew down to St Thomas for a weekend. This was a fantastic experience for us. We have not had any time away from all the hustle and bustle of our lives in so long. It was really nice to escape. Then a couple of weeks later we took the kids to California. We did San Diego, Hollywood and of course Disneyland. To end the trip we did a quick stop in Vegas before flying home. Another trip full of memories and stories Im sure will last forever.

Money comes and money goes, but seeing some bills shrink is always nice. Seems I have been able to budget a little better this year, as some bills are gone, which is always nice, lol. But just giving me more reason to look at the big picture in our lives and strive right on towards our goals and dreams. Always a good feeling when you make another step in the right direction.

There are so many things that have just blessed us this year, that I have no words to describe other than being 30 rocks, and I am excited to look towards the next year that is knocking on the door. I am excited and content that my loved ones and I are enjoying life to the fullest.

Giving credit where credit is due!

So, I was inspired, and here I am.

Let me take a step back though, and acknowledge the source. I have a friend, Heidi, who I met many years ago at my first job. We worked together on the same shift often, and I did not know her prior to my employment. She was very good at telling stories of her past, time flew by, and I was totally intrigued.

We lost contact, unfortunately, over the years. But thanks to the wonderful world of face book, we have reconnected! And to my surprise, she is still telling her stories, in a sort, or her life, via blog :) And it’s fantastic! I can hear her humor, I can see her pictures, I love it! So I though, why not? My life has so many crazy moments; I should consider doing this too.

And here I am. Another day down, another memory made, and something to write about. Enjoy, and feel free to comment!
